The True Nature of NIDS

Wednesday, October 14, 2009 Posted by Techz Innovation

Do you think the Network Intrusion Detection system can completely complete security? If yes, I am going to disappoint you with the latest SQL injection technique. The NIDS fails to detect attacks when attacker’s uses high value target coupled schemas to perform the SQL injection. This is done by using static signature definitions which bypasses the NIDS.

The main problem is because all NIDS lacks in the context to defend itself from HTTP requests which has malicious codes. The only solution to solve this problem to a certain extent is by using the SSL. When SSL encrypts the data the packets which are sealed cannot be transferred back to the original data. And sometimes this also fails. Better to analyze the pros and cons of a network efficiently.

Self Encrypting Hard Drives

Wednesday, October 07, 2009 Posted by Techz Innovation

In order to provide initial level security a detailed and interesting security features has been implemented by Seagate one of the largest manufacturer of Hard Disks. As many organizations aims to protect the privacy of their customers and internal data Seagate has come with a new level of security called Self Encrypting Drives(SED).

These self encrypting drives are one of the easiest and safest mechanisms to stop any kind of breach activities. Most breaches occur when a hard drive goes out of service. So, such things can be avoided if SED has been used thereby restricting the access to the internal data. These hard drives are very useful for health care and financial companies to safeguard their customers privacy and information.

Let's Stop DDoS

Wednesday, October 07, 2009 Posted by Techz Innovation

Researches have come up with a new idea to control DDoS attack. The study reveals that a host-based security application can block all kinds of Denial-of-service attacks efficiently by using IPCAF which is Identity-based privacy-protected access control. This software also has the ability to stop all other attacks like session hijacking, man in the middle attack and other such attacks. Their simulative study has also revealed stopping massive denial of service attacks. Be updated on this as it may be very informative in your study.

Easy Email Encryption

Wednesday, October 07, 2009 Posted by Techz Innovation

Security has become the prime concern for all organization’s and individuals. As most people share their sensitive messages through e-mails protecting them has become the need of the hour. In the recent days a major phishing scam has been exposed by Microsoft which has created a big panic in the internet world. But people do not have to worry now because there are various encryption software’s which can provide maximum security to the message transmitted across the network. One such kind is Easy Email Encryption. This master piece has the ability to encrypt the texts which in turn is copied on to the email message. The receiver just receives the encrypted text which can be decrypted by using the same software. By this email users can ensure confidentiality.
