The Future of Database Technology lies in Grid Databases
The first grid computing network was established by some German engineers in way back 1990’s that had around 100 computers running simultaneously.
As no clear information was available to engineers about the underlying database architecture, companies deployed massive parallel processing units and number of middleware servers to ensure proper working of computer network.
The high operating cost and problem of cooling grid database computing was introduced which helped in load sharing by introducing multiple quad or dual core severs.
Grid databases though came into existence just 5 years back have already become popular because of the advancements seen in SOA applications like server clustering and server visualization. Not only does the grid databases help improve the efficiency, server availability, scalability these databases also help the company in saving precious millions through its various offerings.
Increased efficiency by providing load balancing, server clustering and other application grid technologies. On demand provisioning, predictive monitoring helps in increasing business agility.
Good service management and disaster protection assist in increasing sever ability.Help in building green office by deploying best energy saving techniques and by server consolidation.
